Spring stared with horror in the direction of Shark's den. Praw was huddled behind her, his eyes wide, but no more scared than she was. She had watched the pack fall apart right in front of her nose. What... just... happened...? She thought, her brain still foggy from shock.

Mitts looked around. She was scared for the pack, and she was scared for herself. Shark was acting really angry and defensive, and Mitts wondered if she would be okay. She stopped feeling bad for Shark when she remembered that Shark threatened to kill both Iora and Mitts.

She looked over at Flame. She wanted Flame to leave with her, but she wasn’t sure if she could convince the she-wolf. Mitts couldn’t leave Flame here, not anymore anyways, so she would just have to wait and see what would happen to them. They were both in lots of trouble, and Shark wasn’t very happy.
