‘ Yeah, that’s why I hate this system. You’ve done so much for the pack, yet your not deemed important enough to be a leader. If I had to chose an alpha, it would be you. But if you really care about those GREAT leaders, I’ll let you stay and suffer. I care about everyone in this pack, and that’s why I’m upset at how the higher ranking wolves are treating the wolves below them.’
‘ This place is just turning into a clone of the zoo. Wolves attacking lower ranking ones, alphas thinking they own the world, can’t you see that? This place isn’t good anymore.’
Luna sighed. "They're just turning to the old ways." But her voice faltered
‘ The zoo pack was following the old ways Luna. And we all thought that place was terrible, so why now is everyone trying to hide that this pack is just the same.’
Luna breathed in. "We can agree that the Alphas are nice and that they mean well...but Owl, on the other hand..."
‘ Owl is trying to get the alphas to be just like her. Shark is already acting like she did, and Frost will catch on soon. Owl is the highest ranking wolf in the pack, so why does it matter? The wolves that deserve respect are stuck at the bottom, and the ones that deserve to eat a frog are at the top. Can’t you see that? This pack is going downhill quickly, and that’s why I’m leaving. Owl hates me, so I’ll probably be one of the first to go. I won’t exist if I stay in this pack much longer, and lots of other wolves won’t either. They live off the blood off their lower rank wolves, and it’s disgusting.’
‘ We could leave, and live somewhere else. It doesn’t have to be an actual pack, just something like a town of sorts. You could be a healer or something and heal the wolves, and we wouldn’t have a leader because we would all technically be loners. We would be able to help each other and ourselves without the risk of being disrespectful, as there is no one above you in rank. We can all be the highest rank, and it’ll be fine. But the pack still can’t see that this place is going to be a wolf execution room soon.’
