Kasper turned and bounded towards the forest, deciding to circle around the trunks of trees.

Spring trotted after him, nearly running into a couple trees.

Kasper looked back, then began to zig-zag around a row of trees. "This is fun!" he thought to himself, tail wagging.

Wow, this pup in pretty fast!... But not fast enough! She smiled, picking up the pace.

Kasper noticed Spring getting closer and closer, and he decided to try jumping up on a large rock nearby.

Spring kept going forwards and almost ran into a rock. Since when have you been so clumsy? She snorted at herself. Spring backed up again, getting a head start and springing (XD) onto the rock after Kasper.

Kasper was about to jump off the other side of the rock and continue the chase back towards camp, when he realized how far below the ground seemed. Spring was blocking the easy way down, which was the way from which he had come, and this side of the rock was like a miniature cliff. What should he do?
(The drop is about 8 feet.)

(Eight feet... he would probably survive unless he landed wrong?) Spring saw Kasper he had stopped. She ran into him.

"Woof!" Kasper barked, upon the impact. "Well, you caught me," he admitted. "Can I come down the way I came? It's a big drop on this side, and I didn't want to fall down."

 

[Alyssa-Bee]

Spring peeked over the other side of the boulder. "You should have said that earlier!" She exclaimed. "I could have pushed you off!"

"Sorry," Kasper said, "you're right. It's kind of dangerous. But at least I didn't fall."
