( unpackaged meat in a backpack somehow sounds twice as disgusting. There is so much fabric in a backpack, and the meat juice just soaks in. You would never get the smell out. And there would be all those fibers all over the meat..)

(Hmm...well, let's say that after he takes the meat out of the packaging, he has a bag...like a plastic/wax/paper bag, puts the packaging in the bag, and ties it closed. Then he'll soon throw it away.)
