Dove walked into camp. She had been out for a walk in the forest. Since she had gotten back from the stream or-deal and the game of hide-and-seek she'd noticed that camp wasn't bustling with activity like usual. She hadn't thought much of it, however. She frequently took walks in the forest on her own when she couldn't find other pups to play with, and admired the beauty of the forest or thought about things. She didn't see her mother much, neither did she see Sabine, who was generally wherever Tofu was. She only faintly remembered her father now, and wondered where he was and why she never saw him. Perhaps I should ask my mother when I next see her, Dove had thought on one of these walks.

"Dove! There you are!" Daisy bounded up to her friend. "Have you heard of the missing wolves?"

(That is the government agency that takes in dogs and cats lol, but I don't think they deal with wild animals and regardless this animal rehabilitation center which is I think a private charity of some sort is called APSA (which is similair but not the same) Animal Protection Society of Alaska, but that's alright. Great address by the way, those are certainly believable road names!)
I've been there before...that's where I amputated that wolf's legs! This realisation hit Keith, but surely they would tell me if this was a follow-up on my previous patient... "Alright, what day and time would you like me to be there?"

"I've noticed less wolves around," said Dove coily (I think that's how you spell it lol, synonym for shy or avoidantly [don't even think that's a word...]) She didn't want to admit that she had no idea since she hadn't been paying attention to much of anything lately, seeing as she usually was very observant and she took pride in that.

"I know...Flame says the wolves are safe in that place the settlers took them...but I was thinking...what if we checked it out ourselves?" Daisy suggested, her eyes bright.

Dove, being ever curious and always ready for an adventure, thought this was a great idea. Shouldn't I ask permission? popped into her head, but she decided to not even voice this thought to her friend, adult wolves always thought pups were in more danger doing the same things they did, and besides, her mother wasn't usually around and Dove did lots of other things without permission now. "Sure!" said Dove, "perhaps we should ask some other pups to come too, it'd be more fun that way," and then we'll have more help too if something bad DOES happen.

Daisy grinned. "Great! And yes, let's get some more pups to come too." She paused, then added. "I've never really explored the world too much, I came from my zoo to here, so this will be exciting!"
