Sapphire looked over at Thunder. "You think so?" She asked

‘ Yes, I do. Just go tell him already. The worst that could happen is you get rejected, but you weren’t with him before then so nothing would’ve changed.’ Mitts gave her an encouraging nudge towards Thunder.

Sapphire smiled at Mitts, then said, "Not right now, I haven't eaten yet, but maybe later." She trotted off to the food pile

She trotted back to Mitts. "The others have eaten already, right?" She asked

Mitts looked over at her friend. Soon enough Thunder would get interested in a new wolf if she didn’t confess soon enough, but there seemed to be no way to encourage the she wolf.

She trotted back to Mitts. "The others have eaten already, right?" She asked

‘ I don’t know. What does it matter anyways? We have tons of food we need to get rid of before it goes bad, so dig in!’

"Well, if you're sure..." Sapphire gouged down the food. "Here, have some," She said, smiling.

Mitts took a small bite of the meat, then practically inhaled some more.

"So," Sapphire said between bites. "Who do you think that wolf I saw was?"
