Shark bounded out of the den to the meeting rock. The first thing she said was "I'm not called for anyone to come! Keeping doing what you're doing to help Tofu! Does ANYONE in this pack no of anything to help her??? We need to help her. She has three pups that need her!"

Sapphire rushed forward, and said, "I will leave immediately. If it does not shame any of you, I ask that someone who is strong come with me, to defend me from attacks, as I am weak from my beatings."

‘ Do we have any hemlock?’

"I'll get some!" Sparrow barked, racing back into the forest. She found a sturdy young hemlock tree and ripped off one of the branches. Chewing it to a pulp, she ran back to Tofu and spit it out.
"This should help a little bit." Sparrow reassured her.

Sapphire turned to Falcon, and turning onto her belly, pleaded with her eyes
