Kasper looked back at Dove to see if she was coming, then stepped out of the pup den and began searching for other wolves to talk to.

Dove was starving by now, at least she felt that was the case. Her stomach growled loudly and she felt dizzy, "Mommy!" she cried again as she paced the room, "I'm hungry!"

Willow, knowing how the pup felt, as she was fresh out of puppy hood herself, bounced towards the den, her rabbit skin toy clamped in her jaws. She skidded to a halt and dropped the toy, her tail wagging, rump raised in a ‘play’ position.

Kasper hurried back to the den and pawed at Willow's tail, happy to find someone to play with.

Blizzard paced camp. He sniffed the air. "Something must be wrong," He said to Mitts. "They should be back by now."
