Umber heard Marsh’s howl from the river. She wanted to go see what he needed, but didn’t trust Mitts settler enough to leave the pups unattended with him. She went outside and howled as loud as she could.

The room was a giant area filled with crates and boxes. There were a few windows letting light in, but it was still quite dark.

Crow flopped on the floor, relieved that he would finally get a chance to rest his achey body. He didn’t sleep just yet though, he wanted to keep watch.
