“Anyway life is just life” Lottie smiled at Sapphire, “let’s go and I can give you a tour of the enclosure”“Yes she is only young. To be separated from ones parents as a pup is cruel. I know from experience.” Lottie said wistfully
“Well I dunno Blizzard, they eat deer in some countries and our fur could be very valuable. Wait- really?!” She looked shocked"Wolf meat? Come on, Iora, no one's eating a wolf. However," He lowered his voice, "I've heard rumors that Sapphire's from a zoo!"
“5 acres now” Lottie said proudlySapphire smiled. "I heard it's changed since I was last here. No longer one acre, correct?"
Blizzard shrugged. "I don't know for sure, but that would explain why she was such an odd wolf, right?"“Well I dunno Blizzard, they eat deer in some countries and our fur could be very valuable. Wait- really?!” She looked shocked
Sapphire sighed happily. "We won't feel so trapped now, will we?"“5 acres now” Lottie said proudly
“It sure would” Iora said noddingBlizzard shrugged. "I don't know for sure, but that would explain why she was such an odd wolf, right?"
“With these Alpha’s? It’s impossible not to feel trapped, like your walking on eggshells trying to to break them or your walking on a tightrope with the chance you could fall always” Lottie got a distant look in her eyeSapphire sighed happily. "We won't feel so trapped now, will we?"
“I know. Though I never really got to know them, I was only here a short time before they attacked and killed the older wolves, my mother included. From then I was raised by Saabi and Tooth then I became a Beta” she explainedSapphire nodded. She glanced over to where they stood. "I miss the old ones. They were firm, true, but they were kind enough."
