Daisy, after grabbing some meat, bounced back to the den, where she felt safer. She was surprised to see one of the pups awake. She froze, not knowing what to do.

Daisy, seeing everything was all right, bounded over to Dove. "My first taste of actual, wild deer!" She cheered

"It'll be the best thing you've ever tasted!" said Dove, running over to the deer, she nearly plunged her snout in, then remembered her friend and turned, "Would you like to eat first?"

Kasper wagged his tail and stepped forward boldly. "I'm Kasper," he yipped to Daisy. "Dove's brother. You seem to know her. Where'd you come from?"

 

[Starburst]

Daisy smiled. "My name is Daisy...I come from the zoo Dove went to."

Dove, seeing Daisy run off, took a chunk of meat and ran toward the pup den.

"Zoo?" Kasper repeated, staring blankly. "What a strange word."

Daisy cocked her head. "It is?" She asked. To her, zoo was just another word for home

Dove heard Kasper's remark, and decided to observe the conversation before entering.

"A zoo," said Dove, deciding to jump in, "is a place where a whole ton of animals are kept in a place sorrounded by settlers, I think it's just so settlers can look at them."

Daisy smiled. "Exactly. And the keepers give you lots of food, and you never hunt..."
