Sapphire pricked her ears. She could hear Umber talking to Eclipse, her fellow omega, but the conversation stopped suddenly. Sapphire frowned and sniffed the air. Her heart pounded as she recognized the scent to belong to a bear. She quickly bounded in Umber and Eclipse's direction

Out of the corner of here eye, Umber saw Sapphire arrive. “B-b-Bear!” She stuttered out, without taking her eyes off the beast. She remembered what happened to Mitts’ leg during the last run in with a bear.

Sapphire stood next to her. "Slowly back away," She murmmered

Umber was frozen. She heard Sapphire, but she couldn’t seem to get her body to move. The bear took a step closer and sniffed the air. Umber was finally able to force her body to move, and she slowly backed up, never taking her eyes off the bear.

 

[Starburst]

"Now. Don't head to camp until we're far away from it, okay? If it charges...well, I hope it doesn't."

Umber nodded. “Do Eclipse hear you?” She muttered. Eclipse still had her jaws clamped down on the deer. If they could get her to leave the carcass behind, that would keep the bear busy long enough for the wolves to escape.

Sapphire frowned. "Eclipse! Drop the deer." She hissed

Crow felt his cage jerk as the keepers took it out of the Thunderbeast. He couldn’t move much, but he felt the keepers remove him from the cage and place him in the forest floor. He saw Luna on the ground near him. He heard the keepers moving around, the clanging of the cages, and the Thunderbeast moving away. Then there was silence. He shakily stood up and looked around. He wasn’t familiar with the area. “Luna?” He called, walking over to her, “Are you okay?”

Luna stood up. "They left the door open. We can just go...free."
