Mitts smiled. She wasn’t happy though. If anything she was the furthest away from happy a dog could be. She just wanted to disappear. She had ruined everything, and now half the pack probably hated her guts.

“I heard what you did for Flame.” Umber said. “For what it’s worth, I think it was a brave thing to do.”

(Wow, that's interesting....and did Mitts get punished in any formal way or is she just sulking on her own? And btw can Mitts talk now and has she stopped having seisures? To your final comment, love gets lots of people in trouble, and can sometimes end up being a road of destruction, especially when it goes bad...)

( Mitts talked when she was trying to get Flame away form camp, but she still really can’t. I don’t think Mitts has ever actually loved anyone before, and this is a great starter crush. Totally.)

Mitts nodded, but she still felt really bad. She wanted to apologize to everyone, especially Flame, but she couldn’t. She was stuck, always messing things up and never being able to apologize because she couldn’t talk.

Crow woke up parched. He got up and started to make his way to the river. He felt so much better in the familiarity of the forest instead of being stuck in that strange zoo. He got to the river, took a long drink, and turned to go back to camp. Except, he couldn’t figure out which way to go. He looked around before heading away from the river, a little panicked. He had grown up in these woods, he knew them like the back of his paw, he just couldn’t figure out where he was.
