Mitts almost tilted her head, but then she remembered Crow was old. She didn’t want to upset him by telling him he was having memory issues, so she tried to explain it as nicely as she could. ‘ Oh, Crow. Tofu had her pups quite awhile ago, they are getting quite old now.’ Mitts said, trying her best to sound friendly.

Crow frowned a little. “Oh yes, of course.” Crow shook his head. That didn’t sound right, but he didn’t want to argue about it. “I must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed.” He looked around for the pup. “Was that... was that one of their pups?” He asked Mitts quietly

‘ No, that pup has different parents. That was Praw.’ Mitts said, trying to help out the old wolf.

“Right, of course,” Crow said with a small smile. None of this was making sense to him. He didn’t remember a ‘Praw’. Tala would know what was going on, he just had to find her. “Have you seen Tala around? I need to talk to her.”

Mitts racked her brain for a second. She didn’t remember a Tala, maybe she was before Mitts’s time. ‘ Crow, why don’t you play with Praw for now? I’ll talk to you more later.’ Mitts said, trying to avoid a subject that she thought would be a bit depressing for the old wolf.

Crow frowned. “No, I remember, she died. It was a while ago. I’m sorry, I just forgot for a minute.” Crow shook his head again, trying to clear his mind.
