In a few minutes, Jake asked Sapphire "Is this the place?" He motioned with his tail.

Sapphire nodded again.

"Okay, here it goes!" Jake trotted up to the door of the building. He started to bark and whine. "Get ready!" He whispered.

Sapphire braced herself, ready for the plan to spring into action

Shark tensed, ready.

Flame hoped she wouldn't cause trouble.

Jake continued to whine and paw at the door.

Thomas paused. He had been sweeping the floors when he heard whining coming from the nearby door. He leaned his broom against the wall and started towards the door...

Sapphire heard footsteps and dove in a bush, hiding.

Jake waited for someone to open the door. He had rolled in the dirt before doing this so he would look like a stray. He also didn't have a collar on.

Thomas opened up the door to see a dog on the other side. He looked like a stray, though the dog did look well-fed. "Hello, boy. What are you doing here?" Thomas asked. "I best get you checked out to make sure you're not hurt. Come on."
