hello!!!!

So back around week one I dropped an egg while candling it, the air cell area of the egg cracked! I was sure it was just going to die but then I read you could save it. I painted a thin layer of water/Elmer’s glue on the cracks. Now it’s in lock down and it’s been rocking back and forth since last night. I’m worried the glue is going to prevent it from being able to pip. Does anyone have experience with this?

They typically external-pip around the middle not at the air sac end. Unless you glued most of the shell, I would think it should be able to pip and zip. It can take 24 to 48 hours to completely hatch. I wouldn't panic just yet.

Actually they pip into the air sack. That's how they have air to breath before they finish hatching. Might be a good idea to make a small safety hole just incase.
