GLW at 8 weeks. Pullet or roo? Resolution: Updated picture post 13

I have an 8 week old GLW (sexed pullet) that is just starting to pink up also. So far, I think mine is a pullet based on pics I have seen, but time will tell. Many people have commented that SLW/GLW can pink up early so I'd wait longer to be sure if I were you.

Since no one ever posts an update, I thought someone might be interested. GLW's seem to be a bit hard to sex.

Isn't she lovely? this is at 18 weeks. not laying yet, but a lovely pullet.

Very lovely pullet and I would like to add it might be a while before she lays. My GLW is just over 25 weeks and still not laying. I love how the Wyandottes look though!

She is a pretty girl. I know her lacing isn't breeding quality, but I don't care. I'm honestly not in a hurry for eggs. There seems to be a correlation between early onset of laying and later reproductive problems, so I'll wait patiently.

She is quite a character. The largest of my little flock, she is in competition with the smallest (a Golden Campine) for the head chook position. It is a scream to watch them chasing one of the dogs away from the flock and protecting the others from my DH's truck, She actually chest butted my elderly shorthair pointer/brittany cross yesterday. I thought he might retaliate, but he didn't. He just backed off and came in the house.

It's nice to have the "after" pictures for those of us who aren't as familiar with a specific breed. And as far as her lacing being perfect, well, if she's in YOUR yard and she makes YOU smile when you look at her, that's really all that matters for most if us, isn't it?

edited to finish thought. Not enough diet coke yet.
