What an awesome horse.

And thank God there were no injuries.

Let's hope it stays that way and maybe all these trainers who've been writing articles lately will help turn racing around to the sport it used to be.

Here's hoping for a Triple Crown winner!

He sure did have a lot left, it appeared! Hey, I am VERY new to the chick scene. If I have 15 hens( they are babies now) if I build a coop that is 8 x 8 is that big enough?

8 x 8 yard = 64 square feet. 4 feet per bird x 15 birds = 60 square feet. I convinced DH to make our ground space 4 x 20 so all the hens had lots of space on days they can not go out in the yard. Tomorrow we will test the space while I clean out the brooder. How will they react, LOL!

He is LONG in the body, that horse-- Can't remember seeing that much back and butt behind a jockey before. . . SO GLAD THINGS WENT SMOOTHLY-- Couldn't bring myself to watch the Derby this year-- and glad I didn't. Hearing about it was bad enough. Barbaro's disaster made me SO MAD-- He was acting so, that I was telling DH something was WRONG well b/f the race even started & that they should pull him out!!!! How I wish they had. . .

It would be nice to see another triple crown winner. He ran a beautiful race yesterday! I was so impressed with the way he broke in the derby, watching him come out of the 20 hole into such a perfect position was awesome! What a talented colt.

I just wish they would let one of those great guys run til they're older, like they used to in the old days. It would bring a lot more favor to the sport, and maybe they'd remember horses DO need time to mature and run better and safer as they get older, especially the bigger horses. They've already announced that whether Big Brown wins or loses the Belmont, that'll be it for him, he'll retire to stud. A gold mine.

I can't imagine that they will find too many horses who will want to tackle him again. I think the Belmont will be his easiest race, except for that colt that won the Peter Pan from Belmont...if any horse wants the distance, he will (2 previous siblings won the Belmont).
