go with gro-gel plus?

I have received 75 baby chicks today and they have water and chick starter. But I won't be able to get the grow gel till tomorrow. Will it be helpful to put it in a day after they have had starter?

As I understand it, the gro-gel is beneficial when the chicks first come out of the shipping box, kinda like a Gatorade for chicks after the stress of two days in a shipping box. If the chicks were picked up locally or have already settled in for a day, they don't really see a benefit from the gro-gel. Others may have different opinion, but that's my take on it.

I am going to be traveling with 2wk old chick's can I use grogel to help them stay hydrated while we travel?
