We lost one of our chickens (black sexlink) =(
We went out to check on them this morning and and it was laying under the nesting boxes.
We aren't sure what happened. According to my husband (i couldn't bear to look) there was an egg lodged half in and half out that was discolored (greenish grayish). Has anyone ever heard of something like this before?!

I would guess she was egg bound. I believe this is how we lost our Barred Rock a few months ago. I'm sorry for your loss.
