Goat getting home sick?

I have to agree, if you did your homework you should know that they do better in pairs.
I have horses they are no easy task either. Feet being trimmed every 3-5 weeks, vet bills, feed bills etc....

whoa.. if you think a horse is "waaaaaay" better.. you are in for a world of hurt... it appears that you are not putting much thought/time into animal decisions.. thus why you found a single and very lonely goat annoying. I surely hope you did a little more research before tackling a much larger, much more expensive and much more time consuming task of acquiring this horse. I am also hoping that your goat found a new forever home with lots of little goaty friends. As far as above listed care don't forget about horse dental care, and know that unlike a goat you can't just put them in the back of your car/suv if they need a vet!! Good luck.

Wow, from one annoying goat to horses. You have some homework to do. Horses are $$$$, buying the horse itself is the cheapest part. Horses do better in groups as well, just like goats, the only difference? A goat will let you know vocally it is lonely, while a horse will only whinny a few times or break through a fence.

Please, please, please(!!!) do your homework! Horses are very finicky eaters, there are 300+ types of colic and it is the leading cause to horse deaths. Horses need vaccines, deworming, hoof maintenance(every few weeks!), training, dental work, and tend to be a little more accident prone than goats. The silliest things can go wrong with horses, you know those T-posts people use for fence? Horses kill themselves by impaling themselves on those poles. Horses with halters left on them can break legs and strangle themselves.

You know that saying "Healthy as a horse" BIGGEST misconception ever concieved! LOL

Awww Annoying?? That just makes me sad.. That little goat was just lonely and yes.. needed to have a mate to hang with.. One of its own kind. Just like your horse will need to have a companion. Goats are truely wonderful creatures with lots of personality. If you had done your homework he would not have annoyed you so. "They" would have been alot of entertainment!

My first goat had lived with a giant Schnauzer before she came to me; she freaked when she went to be bred and saw another goat!
A friend has a pygmy goat who thinks he's a goose, since that's who he lives with.
But... most goats prefer other goats, and yes horses are $$$ to keep; they eat more, poo more, churn a goat pen of 1/4" mud into 18" of muck, and need regular hoof trims (and shoes depending on circumstances)(and yes I did try to file trim the feet *blush*... I kept up with a pony but not with a colt), dental care, etc. I had to sell horse & pony after a shoulder injury at work. I miss them but I still have my goats.
Goats need regular care & foot trims too, but more DIY.
Give that horse lots of hugs during the day and he/she should be fine being alone at night, as long as foot & tooth etc care is covered.
Chin up!
