Goat Injured Foot

Thanks again. I should have mentioned. We had a lot of ice and snow last week. I am pretty sure she cut it on ice. One of others was limping for a day or so and then was fine which is why when she first showed signs of limping, I did not think a lot of it.

She is doing well this evening. Snoozing with Danny.

Yep! Ice would do it! I'll be sooo glad when spring gets here....actually just above freezing temps would be fine!

Thought I would provide an update. Daisy is a great patient. She kept the bandage on and is doing much better. She is putting weight on it, but not full weight yet. On Sunday, her foot was warmer than the rest of her. Today it feels normal. I did not give her any antibiotics. The ointment and clean bandages seem to have taken care of things. I plan to keep her in the stall for a few more days to ensure it heals before letting her out to act crazy with the rest of the goats.

Thanks gain to everyone who gave advice.
