We just got a la mancha (a no ears) over the weekend for milking. I was totally ticked at DH cause I wanted a nubian. Anyways. We have been drinking it even since Sat night and it is wonderful. We have been drinking it raw just strained and chilled. We get two quarts a day and milk, three times a day. She is about 28inches high to her back. She was just fresh in March and cost us a wopping $50 at an amish auction. I would deffently recomend one if you want it just for milk supply for your family.

Then we made arrangements to buy a nubian milking doe not much bigger then her close to 30-32 inches, next month. She is fancy colored with tons of spots and she is gonna cost us $80 and is a year and a half old.

I have heard that normally they are more expensive but if you look you can find good ones at good prices. Regestered ones will be more then non-reg ones. But the fact is if you meet one that you just have to have you will pay just about what ever you have to to get it. Luck for us this time they were cheap ones.

oh man, if we weren't on opposite coasts! We do have a local ND breeder. But it's good to "know" someone on here to ask advice of. They are really cute!

The prices I saw up here must have been for registered ones then, they were in the hundreds. We're not so far from PA that we couldn't make a trip down there.....
