Goats aren't 'lickers' and cannot get enough off a block to make any use of it at all. They'll just use it as a toy.​

Maybe, but i have gorgeous Nubian Goats and I give them Manna Pro loose Minerals free to eat whenever they want it. Works excellent for them.

This is an old post, but I don't want you here just talking by yourself! I agree; loose minerals are the way to go. Even better is individual free-choice minerals that they can ration out themselves! I am going to do this the next time I run out, but it definitely is more labor intensive. Welcome to BackYard Chickens!
