Hey, Southern, I don't have goats, but I was wondering if you were getting them to use their milk for your soaps. I was thinking about doing some research on this for myself. It is at the point that I am going to have to do something and I don't want to pay someone else to raise my little one, I want her at home with me and still make money, is that too much to ask?

Both of mine are pygmy billy goats... no milk here! But here are the pics:

Here is their home. They are currently living with the neighbors goats, they are going to be daddy's if they can get it right, and it gives us a chance to fix the roof that blew off during a wind storm. It is the building in the back left corner of the picture.

Here are some pic of some of my goats,
This is Dixie and Jade destroying my trees,

This is one of my bucks, Dallas,

And more of my girls, Jade in front, Willow is the roany one on the other side of her, the chocolate one is Swiss, The buckskin is Chaney, and the kid is Swiss's son Ty.

These all all nigierian dwarfs, that is what the majority of my herd is.

I don't have any pics of their housing, my three bucks share a large dog house, and my does and wethers have shed. I'm not currently milking them, so no idea how much milk. My favorite part of goats? The babies!!

We had a nubian milking this year. She produced about 3/4 gallons per milking but she was first time freshener. We keep them in a lean-to off of the barn, it is enclosed on 3 sides.

I just got a Boer goat today - no pic's yet - but I'll get one or ten really soon.....
He's a darling little guy, very friendly.... he's fixed - a wether.

I have one only lonely Nigerian Dwarf. I hope to add a friend fo her in Spring. I don't have Jack (the black one ) anymore, he lives with Wendy in N.H. because he kept jumping out of the fence. I didn't want to have to scrape him off the road and my fence couldn't be built any higher.
I get 0 gallons of milk... Mary has never been bred.

goats can climb very well. They can be pains in the butt, if you dont have the right fence,for them.They can go through chicken wire and eat all your chickens feed.
