Goat-proof chicken feeder?

Does anyone know how to create a chicken feed that can withstand or prevent the curious nibblings of a goat or two? It seems the goats should NOT be 'sampling' the chicken feed! Any help would be appreciated.

I was searching for a way to keep my dogs out of the chicken feed and ran across this video:

I suspect that you need the feeder in a place the chickens can get to that the goat cannot. I think a building with 1/4-1/2" thick steel walls with a 6"x6" doorway

would work to allow smaller birds access, and keep the goats out. Not sure how you would allow larger breed birds in and keep goats out, though. Goats are known for getting in where ever they choose.

Sorry, with that feeder on the video, our goats would simply put their nose under it and flip it around, spilling all the food out. I've not found a way to keep goats out of chicken feed, except literally fencing them out of the area you feed the chickens. They'll push through, headbutt, tip things over, walk through fire to get to that chicken feed.

Oh great! I guess I can't use the goat's area as a "healing" area for my over-loved hens!

I guess my hubby has a new project coming this weekend. He's just offered to modify another area of the barn JUST for the hens! Yay!

They're all kinds of crazy...but those kids (goats) are SOOOO darned much fun!

Goats can get deathly ill from eating too much chicken feed - especially wethers, who shouldn't have grain at all. So, be very careful with their access to the chicken feed, and make sure the feed bins are secure! Goats are so much fun but total chaos. Do you know the expression, "if a fence can't hold water, then it can't hold a goat?" I let my chickens into the goat pen, but I don't let the goats into the chicken pen.

If anyone does find a way to make a goat proof feeder please share, so far i have just resorted to feeding the chickens after i let the goats out on grass in the morning and before i put the goats in in the eve. This is very time consuming and involves many trips outside in irish weather. Plus would love for the chickens to have access to food all day as well as their grass foraging
