Silkie & (maybe) Serama Hatch-A-Long

Hi all!

I put 10 Silkie eggs into incubation last night

I was supposed to receive 10 Serama eggs, but still haven't heard if their on the way. (Reason for the maybe Serama)

Some of the eggs are green, as there has been a green layer gene bred into the group.
They look exactly like silkies but lay green eggs

Im not sure how much I will be writing in here (time..work etc.) and as it's my first hatch-a-long (thanks @redinator for the suggestion) I'm not sure if I'll be doing the name thing but definitely will appreciate suggestions when the time comes!

Can't wait for the floof balls

I'll root for #8 please and until you decide you want names, I'll just call her .

I might as well put up the numbers so anyone can claim/name one.
What do you want to name #8 then ?

I just don't think I will be able to keep track of which chick belongs to which egg in the end

And I also received a message earlier, that the Serama eggs are on the way

So there will hopefully be 10 more eggs added by Saturday!

Sometimes it's a total guessing game, especially when several hatch when no one is . It's not like they sit quietly by their shells while fluffing up, nooo, that would make it too easy... Hatch cam....

But Eightball still sounds adorable!

I’m biased towards the tiny nuggets that are seramas, so I’ll wait until Saturday to claim an egg, if that is ok with you .

Yes, sometimes you can get the cutest pictures. You must've seen that one when I'd left the blue light on? You can shut that off in the app.
