Goat Question

Do you think it could be what he has? We can post pics if you want, but I'm not sure it would help

It's been several weeks, would it have gotten worse? Edit: also, is it ok to be washing his bum with baby soap when he gets it dirty? It's usually only once a day.

If an animal has white muscle and it is given Bo Se improvement is fairly rapid. If there is no improvement, it is something else. In any event, the Bo Se cannot hurt. I didn't read the more recent posts so I just made the assumption you were talking about white muscle.

You can wash his rear with baby soap. If he is still runny it would be a good idea to have him checked for coccidia.

Thanks for all of your help, Cassie

Hi, @cassie , sorry to bother you again. We took him in and they said white muscle would affect both legs, but the guy who we got him from said he's seen it affect only one. The vet she thought maybe he got injured at birth somehow, but that's super unlikely because all he did was lay there after being born and being licked off. She just gave us some little anti-inflammatory pills and said maybe they would help. What do you think? She didn't want to run a fecal for us either and we told they told her about the horrible smell and the diarrhea.
