They're beautiful in real life! I have, we're just in Ohio and I actually feel like we looked at their website before when we were looking for goats. I'm gonna go look!

I'm sure you'll be impressed. My favorite bucks are the 3rd and 5th ones. They combine great dapple coats with just sheer size and muscle mass.

I just looked and I am definitely impressed! Not only are they BIG boys, they are the most beautiful dapple Boers I have ever seen!

Do you breed? If I was in the position I would seriously consider picking up that buck they have for sale, the first one on the sale list. It is killing me that I can't keep a buck right now. I would honestly be making a call to them this night if I was, that buck is stunning, and has the genetics too. Rare opportunity to purchase a great herd sire.

Nope, I don't. :/ I would love to though, and I plan on starting in a couple years. I'm just not to keen on keeping a buck......That buck is real nice! I could see why you want him so much!

I plan on starting breeding this fall. Want to get a buck this summer, a couple does, pen them together in the fall, and hopefully have some nice kids on the ground in the spring. I dont plan on skimping on quality either. There are enough breeders churning out low quality goats with little bone no muscle mass and bad confirmation. Not to mention awful daily weight gains and low adult weights. There are enough of those "breeders". I don't want to mess around with those animals. Sorry to be blunt, but to me, they're a waste of feed, frankly. I want ennobled pedigrees from people who know their stuff. Goats that have good muscling and good bone, that stand long bodied and wide. How the breed is supposed to be. In 10 yrs when you have a nice established herd you'll be thankful for that $3k you spent on a buck.

Goat help!! Our goat "Happy" is like 7-8 years old. Last month she stopped eating her sweet feed. usually she is out there telling you to feed her. But she doesn't really care. She had been off her hay too. The only change in diet was that when I feed the chickens in morning I would give her a cup of cracked corn so she wouldn't get mad ( she only gets fed dinner). She stopped eating the corn for few days too. She is back to eating the cup of corn and her hay but won't eat sweat feed that she has been getting since she was young. Ideas?

It's not worth skimping out on your breeding, Boer people know what a good quality Boer goat looks like and they are willing to pay for one! There are too many of the kind of breeders you're talking about, I wish the US could work on getting a lot more Boers that actually follow the Boer standards and have no disqualifications and little to no faults in a show (ABGA shows).

I don't know for sure, but I would stop feeding her the corn. Corn can lead to many digestion problems and it's a hot food too, so it'll make her hot. Hopefully someone else has some other input.

Is she pregnant? Milking? Dry? What is her body condition? Does she act like she feels OK?

She lives by herself. Never gave milk. Her job was brush clearing. She is fat.
