Is there water in the wading pool. Ours freak at a rain drop and will not go near our creeks, springs and streams.
I think so too.Just wondering when goats settle down a bit. The neighbours had a really naughty kid that seems to be ok now so I am hoping ours settles too. We have two Milk and a cookie, both weathers, and they are about 5 months old. Cookie is so placid, he's not as sociable but is very bonded to his cousin and to me. Milk has no interest in cookie, breaks and jumps fences, and bleats for our attention constantly. If Milk gets through the fence, Cookie will attempt to follow if he can. They got out the other day and the only way to get Milk back is to get him on the lead but Cookie will follow. He's particularly annoyed at the moment because he is staying penned indefinitely. I can't afford for him to break paddock fences and let my dogs out.
Ours didn't settle down to they were about nine/ten months old, but I think it can depend on the breed. It might help if you take Milk and Cookie (or at least Milk) on a walk every other day or something like that. Sometimes the goats just like to get out and look around.
Trixie had a doeling this morning.

Thanks Henny, we let him out every day to graze but we just went through the flood of a century so now he's being extra difficult and finding more ways to get out. Not that it is hard at the moment! We just need our paddock fence fixed.
