I got CDT for my goats. Is it safe to give to the does if they are pregnant cause they may be pregnant? What dose do I give to goats?

Do I repeat this in 2 weeks?

Also I got some penicillin.....for my saanen buck cause he has green drainage coming from his eyes and he has been here almost 2 months and still has it, he has had it since he got here and I heard this will clear it up. So I think he is at least 150 pounds and it says to give 1ml per 100 pounds so do I give him 1.5ml or should it be a little stronger?

Thank you!

It should say right on the bottle what dose to give. The stuff I use is 2mls. I usually give mine once a year. If my doe is pregnant I give hers a month before she is due.

Here's another great website listing a lot of different medicines and doses.

The CD&T is given at a rate of 2cc per goat, regardless of age, size, weight or breed. It's perfectly safe for pregnant does - actually you should give your doe the shot about 4 weeks prior to kidding if you know her due date. This gives the kid a little protection when they're born. Kids are then given the shot at 8 weeks and 12 weeks old (although some do earlier and some later).

The penicillian is given at different doses depending on the reason. I'd google runny nose for goats and see if you can figure out what he's sick from before you give it to him - why waste the medicine if you don't have to.

Thank you for the great sites!

It does say CDT is 2ml on the bottle. It just did not say for all ages/sizes. Can this be given SQ, it does not say on the bottle?

ETA: I see it says it can be given sq on the last site posted.
