Goats ate moldy hay 😦

Goats in general enjoy bashing each other about. They are kinda like the Stooges, if you are familiar with that very old show.

A big bash to the belly during late pregnancy could possibly cause an abortion. I don't know if you can stop that behavior. It shouldn't be a problem very early in the pregnancy from my experiences.

Moldy hay is a lot more dangerous to horses than it is to goats or cows. As to how toxic it is. it depends on what kind of mold it is. I have been told that mold on alfalfa is less toxic than the molds found on grass hay. I have had goats eat moldy hay with no ill effects at all although I am not suggesting that anyone feed moldy hay. I think your goats will be fine.
