Goats in early pregnancy * bit of an update*

If she was mine I would call your vet explain the situation to them. They will probably give you some basic checks that they want you to give about the the goat in question, Temp. check, general condition, on feed/off feed, alert, standing, on water, clear eyes, discharges present, etc. then they will decide depending on your answers if they need to see the goat and how soon. I would call asap it isn't worth waiting.

I work for my local vet. Unfortunately, she like all other vets in this area do only small animal. Though I have to say, bless her, she is doing her best to help me. I just thought some of the goat people on here could help us out, And I was right! Thanks guys.

Little Mama is still large, still acting normal, still eating and drinking. No more bleeding or discharge of any kind.

It might have been from a bump.... I talked to my X-brother-in-law who has been raising sheep for 30 years and he said it could have been from a bump or because she was so large she stressed too much while going potty....

If it didn't continue, not to worry about it....

My doe due in three weeks did this right before new years day and it was only a small spot of blood once and she seems to be doing fine.... just getting bigger and bigger every day.... her bag is getting tighter and tighter.... since it's -3 today, I keep asking her to wait until it is warmer as well.....
