Goats thread!

New (to us) today. Picking up the Sire tomorrow.

Unimaginatively named Parsley (left) and Thyme (right). The sire, of course, is Sage.

We are told they are a mix of Spanish ("Scrub") and something. Something small is all I can tell you. Even Sage is only 110# or so, and I'm not seeing the broad hips I associate with the local Nigerian Dwarfs (milk goats are very popular around here), and don't know enough about the other breeds to pick out other breed characteristics. Parsley doesn't look particularly "meaty", either.

Thyme is the son.

Looking to bring in a Kiko mix, "Rosemary" to round out the herd and eventually settle into some medium sized meaty mutts.

This is Obi (-Wan Kenobi) and (Darth) Maul. Top pic is when we got them end of June (they were about 4ish months old) and Bottom pic is end of Dec with their fluffy winter coats.
They are adorable! I am also a fan of the names. I always have to explain the name of our lil man. We named him Goada (goat+yoda) 😁
