Goats? What do I need to know before I get into this?

So I guess for feeding grain, it'll be kind of a wait and see thing? What about worming? How often should I worm?

Oh, totally forgot about backyardherds! I will check that out! :)

I'll type up a few more questions after a a bit. A winter storm is just now moving in and I need to go check my animals!

I've heard the way to test a fence for goats is throw a bucket full of water on the fence. And if the water goes through the fence then the goats will too!!

For my goats, I used an old 3-sided smaller barn and they seem to like it enough. I have pygmy goats and I'm still kind of a newbie with all this goat stuff, but I used 48 inch high fence. It isn't a huge pasture, but ohh well. They can't get out of that, but I still let them out to free range with my chickens because I don't like to see any kind of animal in a pen... :)

I'd recommend the book "raising goats naturally" by Pat Coleby. She goes very in depth particularly with the sensitive mineral requirements of goats
