I was wondering, when pygmy goats eat the grass, do they keep it short or destroy it?

If they are eating the grass so short they destroy it, it means there is not enough grass.

Mine leave the grass about 6-12 inches from the ground, they never crop it short like sheep. I agree if they are eating it down they need more pasture.
