Arron rubbed the bridge of his nose and ignored Lennox's sarcastic comments. "They should have a Starbucks just for office workers." he thought, assuming the man in front was ordering for his co-workers. "The lines would be so much faster." Arron folded his arms and waited, expecting the ginger behind him to do something obnoxious.

Lennox sighed dramatically, tapping his booted foot on the ground in an annoying rhythm, then stopped and reached past Arron, tapping the young women ahead of them inline on the shoulder with his index finger. She jumped slightly, looking around to see who had touched her, bright blue eyes narrowed in confusion. "What?" She asked, looking to Arron, as he was the one right behind her.

"You have absolutely beautiful eyes," Lennox complimented her, sounding completely sincere.

The young women blushed slightly, "Oh, why thank you," and was about to turn away.

"Do you mind if we go in front of you in line?" Lennox asked, thought it wasn't really a question, they had made eye contact, and she would now do whatever he wanted. People were starting to look at them in annoyance, they had already seen the redhead skip in line once, was he really trying again?

The woman side stepped, smiling as if it made her extremely happy to let them go first, "I don't mind at all."

Lennox grinned at Arron and nudged him, "You going to move up and let the lovely lady switch places with us?"

(I'm trying to do my best to the longer posts like you do.)

Arron had watched the exchange suspiciously, and stepped ahead with Lennox. "How did you do that?" He asked, knowing that skipping ahead of two people in a line wasn't natural. This guy wasn't natural. The coffee freezing and then super heating... Arron waved the idea out of his head. The coffee was probably some magician's trick. Besides, magic wasn't real. A memory from his life in New York argued otherwise, however he ignored it.

(Well you're doing a great job, and your writing sounds good, my protégé!)

Lennox raised an eyebrow, "If I told you, I'd have to kill you," he answered in a mock-serious tone, glancing up to the front of the line, where the man who had been holding up the line was just collecting his large order. "But I'll bet you fifty bucks, that I can get everyone in this line to let us go ahead of them." He said in a pleasant tone, crossing his arms, and looking at Arron with a smirk.

"But I'll bet you fifty ducks, that I can get everyone in this line to let us go ahead of them." He said in a pleasant tone, crossing his arms, and looking at Arron with a smirk.
(I'm just gonna go ahead and assume you meant bucks, not ducks.))

Arron scoffed and turned around. "I don't take bets." He knew somehow that Lennox could jump all the way to the front if he wanted, but Arron, even as the jerk he was, felt slightly wrong about it. That feeling surprised him, just a second ago he had been thinking about how everyone took so long.

(I hate spellcheck, I write ducks once in a PM and now it wants ducks everywhere!!!)

"Wise, cause' you would have lost." Lennox said matter-of-factly, then added in a quicker tone, "Whatever, I'm tired of waiting," He raised his hands and clapped twice, very loudly, and everyone looked around, already annoyed that he had skipped in line. Lennox made brief eye contact with everyone before they could look away, then asked in a clear, caring tone, "My grandmother, Lele," he placed his hand on Arron's shoulder, who, in there eye, was a little old women with a walker, "I need to get her to her doctors appointment very soon, can we, please, go ahead of you all?"

Everyone smiled kindly at Arron the grandma, and stepped aside, saying things about how sweet it was that her grandson way taking care of her, and how sweet she looked with her pink wooly sweater. Lennox grinned, and looked at Arron, "Move it, granny."

(Ducks in hats. Just look it up on google images, it's worth it.)

Arron watched bewildered as everyone stepped aside but at Lennox's last comment Arron shot a glare of sheer irritation. "You..." he hissed! then shook his head and went towards the front. He heard someone make a comment about the "sweet pink wooly sweater" he was apparently wearing and looked at Lennox again, dragging his thumb across his neck.

(LOL!)

"I got you to the front of the line, you should thank me, you ungrateful little granny..." Lennox said with a sneer, then they reached the counter, and he looked to the barista. "My granny, Lele, wants coffee or whatever, but what I want is a latte, and a bear-claw, and one of those huge cinnamon rolls. Thank you." Lennox said, rudely patting Arron on the back of the head.

The barista didn't notice Lennox's tone or actions, still under his trickery, only seeing and hearing what he wanted, which was a sweet old lady, and her doting grandson. She looked to Arron the grandma for his order, bright eyed and smiling.
