I ordered some fertile hatching eggs and set up my incubator to get it stable temperature wise before they arrive. It was running consistently at 99 degrees per my digital thermometer(doesn't display tenths) so I threw in a couple of my eggs and let it get back to normal; since doing this my thermometer has been either going low (showing 97 degrees now) to spiking to 102 degrees. I just put an analog thermometer in and when my thermostat shuts off it shows the temp at 102 but my digital shows 97.. now I'm not sure which one to trust. Its a homemade incubator with a fan and a digital thermostat.

yes. The digital one I have had for a few years and have only used it before and have had great hatches, so I am leaning more to its more accurate. I have honestly tried 3-4 different thermometers at the same time at room temperature and they all read different temperatures(smh).

Aha the digital ones are usually more accurate than the analog ones so id stick to it but as long as it dosent go any highr or lower u should be ok maybe a bit late but u should get at least a few. Hoe many are u hatching?:)

will put a new battery in asap. I am test hatching 6 right now.. but will be adding (hopefully) and dozen next week.
