Going from Grey to Red?

ditto, dont do it yourself. The out come color on a box of hair color is based on brown hair to start with. Grey doesnt have a base color so red will come out very red and on grey hair will fade fast. There is no pigment for it to hold on to. When I worked in a salon you would be suprised how much business is fixing what people did at home.

After seeing your photo Critterhill, I'm pretty sure that is what my hair would look like if I put red on it!

Your hair type is exactly like mine.

I guess the struggle will continue until I find a darker blonde shade that I like.

I've always been light pale blonde, but now it's just making me look old 'cause it's too close to old-lady white.

My friend says I should switch to a darker golden shade of blonde rather than the darker ash shade I put on recently.

sigh. I hate getting older!

There's some kind of rebellious pink thing fad going on right now, in Europe and USA...my 21 yr old daughter has it, her hubby doesn't mind, he bought her a declorinator for the shower head for her pink hair...
