I don't know what your equivalent to FFA or 4-H is, but around here those kids are the bomb for hiring to care for animals. Check out whatever your high school age animal group is and talk to the leader, they'll point you toward responsible kids.

my church has a food bank for those in need, your local churches might know someone that will care for your flock for current and future eggs
