Hey yall!

I have to go out of town for 3 days. Is it possible to leave enough food out for my chicks while I'm gone or we they just eat it all in one day? Obviously, I would leave plenty of food for the three days. But I'm just worried they will eat so much they get sick from it. :/ hate leaving my feather babies, but i dont have a choice.

Are these chicks or older birds? If chicks, are they in a coop or still in a brooder? How old? Young chicks I'd definitely be iffy on only because they're prone to making a mess, throwing food everywhere, knocking water over. Older chicks/adult birds in a coop should be fine, provided you know exactly how long their feeder and waterer will last. Still preferable to have someone check in on them if possible.

Mine for the most part just eat what they need - I'd say as long as you have enough feeders that are situated where they can't spill out/knock over food they would most likely last the three days, but again, all depends on how much they eat!
