Going to cull Ninja Chicken unless you can help...

Garlic and cayenne pepper are more of preventives than anything, Cayenne does help, but it is still a preventive measure and you still need to have a wormer handy. Garlic and onions do not work, they can help with other things, but do not worm. Excess garlic and onions can cause a lot of problems too.

I'm taking your advice! I'm going to hit TSC tomorrow morning, and get some Ivermectin. I, of course, would prefer to not give chemicals to my organically raised chickies, but it doesn't really seem like I have a choice. Anyway, I'm only getting an egg a day anyway. There don't seem to be any respiratory issues... I also have ducks and a goose that sometimes hang around with the chickens when they're all free-ranging together... do I need to deworm them too? Same method?

Aswormers go Ivermectin's ptretty safe. In fact if you got worms it's what the Dr would give you. You should probably worm your other chickens as well. I've never heard of it being used on ducks so???

If you have a dog and you use the hart wormer by the name Heartgard Plus then you are useing Ivermectin. You can go here and scroll down to Generic Name and it will say Ivermectin, Pyrantel pamoate...
