Friday night, raccoons broke into my pen of prized mille fleurs and killed Bundle and his 3 hens. They were a result of several generations of my breedings. So upsetting. Bundle won 1st place at the Florida State Fair and was always there to greet me at the door when I fed them. He inspired me to show my mille fleurs. He wasn't at the door to greet me Saturday. I was hoping they were hanging out under the shelter area, but when I lifted it up, it was empty. Then I saw the feathers and my heart sank and it was eerily silent. The coons made entrance through the door area where the wire was loose. I checked the trap at 2:30am, raccoon culprit #1 was there. Took care of him. Reset the trap and then at 6 am I had culprit #2. Hope they enjoyed their last meal. Bundle was my pride and joy. R.I.P. buddy, you were awesome. Coons are EVIL!!!
