FIRST TIME HATCHE... HELP!

So I am going to put some eggs into incubate next Tuesday (my birthday and my birthday pressi is an incubator) We are away this weekend so it is easier to wait until after. I have started to save my eggs today after a thread I have seen on here and I am going to pop them in the fridge and bring them to room temp on Monday ready for Tuesday.... Is that right?

Also how should I be choosing the eggs I incubate. I have had some small ones which I wont put in but I wanted to know if there is anything else I should be looking for?

Thanks,

Katie xxx

If you have a cool basement, a dark corner would be a better place to store your eggs than a fridge. Just set them on a towel in a cooler and shut the lid.

For eggs to select, reasonably clean, shell with no pits or excess calcium deposits, that are not cracked, and that are not either extremely large or extremely small for their size are best.

Thank you. I am now going to move the eggs to a shed I have which is underground so it is cool but not too cold!

I can't wait to put them in.
