Going to try hatching emus again!!

last year in March I bought emu eggs off eBay and hatched all 3. Enjoyed it so much I am gonna try again. Have two eggs coming from a breeder in Arkansas. They should be here by the end of the week so will post when eggs arrive and start the adventure all over again. As for the birds we hatched last year, they are large and doing well. Only kept two, a male and female. They are so friendly and are truely loved here!

I'm not doing more until either my birds start laying, or if I can find eggs from blondes, I've decided.

I have a deposit on a white male and blonde female as we would like to add something different here to keep with our standard colored pair. These chicks we hatch will be offered for sale. My friend Richard has 4 emu eggs in his incubator now. It’s so addicting.

I'd have fun hatching to sell, but then I'm positive I'd fall in love with all of them and not want to sell them
