Going to try hatching some Ayam Cemanis again

Must be hard to tell with the 'black birds'...no red to show by ~6weeks...

They can. Typically, that is what I look for.

The one that was gray still as a little bit of gray on his face, but he has gotten mostly dark.

Have you thought about wetting their feed so they don't waste as much?

Or making a feeder that they can't get in to scratch around?
