Going to use LG Still Air Incubator and have humidity and temp questio

Typo?
Some say 101 at the top of the eggs an 102 has been quoted a lot lately too.

Thank you. Yes a typo. I meant 101.5.

You need the correct type of thermometer for an incubator. Some are meant to be accurate to within 1 or 2 degrees fahrenheit. These are not good enough. I recommend you get one that is accurate to within 0.1 degrees. Then you need to calibrate it. To demonstrate why you need to calibrate it, next time you are in a store that sells lots of thermometers, look at several on the shelf. I often see 4 or 5 degrees difference in the readings of the same type of thermometer in the same climate controlled conditions.

new ham ran across your post about humidity. And saw that you were making reference to the egg turner made from PVC pipe and egg cartons. Have you done this yet? I am doing it now and love it, was just wondering about other folks opinion on it as well.

I use the egg carton egg turn and love it. I also have the LG bator. I do not add water to mine as well and keep them temp at 101.
at lock down I also go about 60-65% the last few days.

I Love using the egg carton turner so easy and saves so much time. I also keep a spray bottle inside the bator so when I open it up i just lightly spray the eggs of the paper towel that is in there. this keeps the temp from going down to much when its open. Got this Idea from another BYC'er.
