Are some GLO chicks born almost black with dark legs?

Mine were pure milk chocolate brown

I am getting 2-3 walnut size eggs a day now. Not sure if its my golden lace or the orpingtons. But no matter this is what I have been waiting for. Eat one a day on my sandwich before school. Yahoo

Usually Gold Laced lay pretty big eggs even as pullets..of course there are other factors that determine size of eggs, but, I was under the impression all other outside factors do not play that large of a factor. (Housing, feed, health). Genetics lay the foundation for egg size, and the breed of hen, and size of her reproductive tract will determine the rest.
