Hatching
Brought home 12 GLW chicks today from the Ogden IFA. When I got home all but one of the chicks were doing great. The chick at the top left is the smallest, it was laying down breathing heavily, not making the "cheep-cheap" sound... I tried to give it some water and put it near the food, but it wouldn't eat or drink. It's still laying there...
All the others are moving around, talking pecking at feed, drinking, etc.
If I touch it, it lifts it's head momentarily and sometimes will stand up for a second or two, but that's about the best it can do.
Any ideas? I believe in natural selection and survival of the fittest, but I'd hate to loose a chick on my first day as a chicken owner.
Thanks in advance.
