Gold-necked mille fleur after her bath! pics

My poor Matilda the gold-necked d'uccle was filthy. It wamed up a bit today (-10 C) so I thought I'd give her a bath. She's almost dry, and I'll be waiting to put her back with the others tonight when the heat lamp comes on. That way she can acclimatize again, slowly.

Anyways, here she is! She's a March 07 hatch.

She is sooo pretty. I usually keep my chickens inside the house for 2 days after a bath before I put them out.

she's very beautiful! i've never had a d'uccle....are they very high maintinence? i love all chickens but i can only have so many....maybe i'll consider a couple of these! again, she is a beauty!
